[ well, the shadow game sucked, and dragon blocking the way wasn't great either, but it's night and they've cleared the way into their rooms.

shark, as always, doesn't sleep, and spends his nights on mindless hobbies. he's made ink from ink mushrooms and is gouging in lines into the surface of his dresser, and filling them in with intricate black swirling patterns. it's thoughtless, time-consuming, and requires focus. with any luck, he'll keep his mind off dwelling ]

but you seem to have woken up in the shallows of the waterlogged first level. deeper water seperates the alcove off, and bookcases block them from view. your wrists and ankles have been bound, and attached to the wall, and Shark is standing over you, an impassive look on his face, the poor mask he uses for his loathing. on the shelves behind him you can see two knives, doubtlessly stolen from you as you don't appear to have them.

shark apparently isn't talkative for once in his life. more evidence of this being a fucking dream, right? He's just staring, waiting. ]
